Domain Registration Terms (.UK Domains)

1. Registrar Information

Akaal UK provides domain registration services for .UK domain names and other domain extensions. For all .UK domain registrations, the registry operator is

Nominet UK

All .UK domain registrations are subject to:

• Nominet UK policies
• Nominet Registry Terms
• Nominet Dispute Resolution Service (DRS)

The Registrant agrees to comply with all applicable Nominet policies and procedures.

2. Definitions

Registrant means the legal owner of the domain name registration.

Registry means the organisation responsible for operating a domain extension, including Nominet UK for .UK domains.

Domain Name means the registered internet domain selected by the Registrant.

Services means domain registration, renewal, transfer, DNS, and related services supplied by Akaal UK.

3. Domain Registration Services

We provide domain registration services on a best-efforts basis and do not guarantee that:

• any requested domain name will be available;
• registration requests will always succeed;
• any domain name will remain continuously available.

Registration of a domain name is completed only when confirmed by the relevant registry.

For .UK domains, registration is governed by the applicable policies published by Nominet UK Policies.

4. Registrant Rights and Ownership

The Registrant retains the right to use the registered domain name for the duration of the registration period, subject to:

• registry rules;
• applicable law;
• and these Terms.
  
  

Akaal UK acts solely as the registrar or registration service provider and does not claim ownership of any registered domain.

5. Registrant Responsibilities

The Registrant agrees to:

• provide accurate, complete, and current registration information;
• maintain updated contact details throughout the registration period;
• respond promptly to verification requests;
• ensure the domain name and its use do not infringe third-party rights;
• comply with all applicable laws and regulations.

Failure to maintain accurate registration data may result in:

• suspension;
• cancellation;
• transfer;
• refusal of renewal.

6. Prohibited Use

Domain names and associated services must not be used for:

• phishing;
• malware distribution;
• spam;
• fraud;
• copyright infringement;
• unlawful activity;
• abusive or malicious conduct;
• impersonation;
• distribution of illegal content.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate services where abuse or unlawful activity is suspected.

7. Abuse Reporting

Reports of abuse involving domains registered through Akaal UK should be sent to:

Examples of abuse include:

• phishing websites;
• malware;
• spam campaigns;
• illegal activity;
• copyright abuse.

We aim to acknowledge abuse reports within 2 business days.

We may investigate and take appropriate action including:

• suspension;
• DNS modification;
• cancellation;
• reporting to authorities or the registry.

8. Nominet UK Policies

For .UK domain names, the Registrant agrees to comply with:

• Nominet UK Registration Policies;
• Nominet Terms and Conditions;
• Nominet WHOIS policies;
• Nominet Dispute Resolution Service Policy.

9. Dispute Resolution Service (DRS)

Disputes concerning .UK domain names may be handled under the Nominet Dispute Resolution Service (DRS).

We are not responsible for the outcome of any dispute resolution process.

10. Domain Renewals and Expiry

The Registrant is responsible for ensuring domain renewals are completed before expiry.

We may send renewal reminders using the contact details provided, however:

• failure to receive a reminder does not remove the Registrant’s responsibility to renew;
• expired domains may be suspended or deleted by the registry;
• expired domains may become available for registration by third parties.

Renewal fees are non-refundable once processed.

11. Transfers

The Registrant may transfer their domain name to another registrar in accordance with applicable registry procedures.

For .UK domains, transfers are subject to Nominet transfer policies.

We may refuse transfer requests where:

• payment is outstanding;
• fraud is suspected;
• legal restrictions apply.

12. Suspension and Cancellation

We reserve the right to suspend, cancel, lock, redirect, or transfer a domain registration where:

• required by Nominet UK;
• ordered by a court or competent authority;
• abuse or unlawful activity is suspected;
• these Terms are breached;
• inaccurate registration data is supplied.

Emergency actions may be taken without prior notice where necessary.

13. Fees and Payments

All fees are payable in advance unless otherwise agreed.

Fees may include:

• registration fees;
• renewal fees;
• transfer fees;
• restoration fees.

Failure to make payment may result in suspension or cancellation of services.

14. Privacy and Data Protection

We process personal data in accordance with UK GDPR and applicable data protection laws.

Registration data may be shared with:

• Nominet UK;
• other registries;
• ICANN (where applicable);
• law enforcement authorities where legally required.

For .UK domains, certain registration data may be published or processed by Nominet in accordance with their privacy policies.

15. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Akaal UK shall not be liable for:

• indirect or consequential losses;
• loss of profits;
• business interruption;
• data loss;
• loss resulting from domain suspension or cancellation;
• registry errors or failures.

Our total liability relating to any domain registration shall not exceed the fees paid for the relevant service.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

16. Indemnity

The Registrant agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Akaal UK against claims, liabilities, losses, or expenses arising from:

• use of the domain name;
• breach of these Terms;
• infringement of third-party rights;
• unlawful activity.

17. Complaints Procedure

Complaints regarding our services should be submitted to:

• acknowledge complaints within 2 business days;
• resolve complaints within 5 business days where reasonably possible.

18. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms periodically.

Updated versions will be published on our website and take effect upon publication.

Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

19. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.

Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
